Wonderfully simplistic, the only ornamentation on this torso consists of incised lines indicating the monastic robe draped over one shoulder and a narrow belt ending in a neat fold.
Carved from a single block of buff-colored sandstone.
The head, legs and hands were carved separately, then assembled to form the complete figure.
Superb stone erosion.
