Bell used by priests and ascetics during this period.
Ghanta were made in 3 pieces. The bell, the upper part in the shape of a vajra and the clapper.
The Vajra were also composed in 3 parts, the vajra itself and came to add the 2 ends of the middle between the 4 stems of each side.
The 5 points of the vajra and the ghanta represent the 5 spikes of Mount Meru of the Hindu and Buddhist sacred texts.
